Obviously I was exiting to Main Menu with no issues at the time.īut, what I cant recall is if I had already activated Frostfall or not, at the time.Įither way, assuming I did - it means the mod initally had no issues, until turning it off/on.įrom what I later read, It is recommended not to do so with Campfire/Frostfall. Immediately I had an awkward 'glitch' of armor disappearing and reappearing when mods were turned off. Thinking it was a mod conflict, I started turning mods off/on. (Turns out its a known issue with USSEP that will be fixed.) I noticed a green 'flap' over the grindstone in Riverwood. it appears that not all files get deleted, and I wonder if this has something to do with it. In trying to 'solve' this issue I have re-installed Skyrim SE and Mods, as mentioned.
I hope this post will help anyone who has had this issue, and perhaps Chesko will update the mod description to help future users of the Mod to be aware of the issue until its able to be fixed. (Never have modded before, and thought with Skyrim SE I would give it a whirl.)Īt the end of the day, after loading the beginning Skyrim SE sequence, numerous times, with various mods on/off, it was evident, with only Campfire/Frostfall and USSEP installed, that Frostfall was the verdict. It took awhile as I never suspected a main mod, advertised by Brodual, (youtube), to be the root of the CTD. (Not to count the time researching on the net, and reinstalling Skyrim SE and Mods) in-game, troubleshooting the issue with CTD when exiting to Main Menu. * Another link, reddit, noting the problem from a user. (Though he has confirmed, through email, that this issue is still something being reported for SE, and he is looking into it.) * Chesko has reconginzed this to be an issue on the Nexus, I believe the post is from Feb., so not dealing directly with the version for SE. Issue is Recognized by Mod Author Chesko: Symptom: You will know before hand that this will happen, as your armor will unequip and re-equip once Frostfall is activated and the inital messages appear.
If this issue occurs after activiation of Frostfall, within game, it will CTD consistently when exiting to Main Menu.
ISSUE: CTD occurs when player chooses to exit to Main Menu vs. (Its activated once looking up into the sky, I believe, from 7pm-7am.)īefore then, no symptoms, nor sign of an issue. Frostfall can cause a CTD, (Crash to Desktop), once activated, within game.
